What is 36-and-out?36 & Out is combining the very best parts of buying (ownership) and the best parts of leasing (low payments and little down). It eliminates the bad parts of both allowing you to have more options in your favor. How does it work?You pick out a car, new or used. Most cars will qualify. You finance the car for a minimum of 48 months just like normal. You use your rebates, cash or equity down just like normal. Everything you have done in the past when buying is done the same. After you have made your 36th payment but before you make your 38th payment, you have one of four choices to make. Choice One:Trade or sell the car and keep or apply the equity to another car or truck or simply keep the cash equity. Choice Two:Keep the car and keep making payments on the car. Your payment will not change. You may sell or trade at anytime after that just like any normal purchase. Choice Three:Based on the terms of your contract, you can avoid a loss or (negative equity) and buy another car. Should the vehicle be less than what is guaranteed you can simply walk away and begin with a new loan and new car purchased at Joseph.Choice Four:Based on the terms of your contract, you can avoid a loss or (negative equity) and simply walk away and not buy another car from Joseph (or at all) similar to other leases. Unlike normal leasing where you don’t have the choice of keeping the car, with 36 & Out you do. With regular leasing, the leasing company requires all vehicles be returned and they keep your equity. With 36 & Out, you keep the equity and avoid the loss if any. How much does it cost?There is a $9.95 surcharge to validate the contract and guarantee. Other than that there is no premium for the 36 & Out. Your cost is simply your cost in the vehicle. Nothing changes in that regard. Your interest and lender is your choice. To maximize the lowest payment the “Package Car” should be used. If you desire a different car or a used vehicle other than a “Package Car” a custom quote for your residual value will be required.
